I had a few hours to take from work so decided to finish off podcast 34 for the whw race and go for a run before heading to work. I chose my long hill run up to Robertson's car Park and back. I did this route on Thursday 14th February and it took me 45mins 40secs for the 5.20miles.
So I was interested to see how long it would take me 3 weeks later. I didn't particularly push hard but ran as I felt.
So when I finished and downloaded the file I was pleased to see I'd run it in 39.40 so 6mins faster.
Robert O asked for a comparison HR wise so here it is ...
My heart rate overall was 2 beats per min faster but I was 6mins quicker. The key mile is the 2nd one which has over 400ft of climb. Today I was over a minute faster with a similar HR.

What was your HR for each section? Comparing this and pace to the last time you ran the route will be a good indication of how well you are adapting, removing the subjective element.
