The numbers were low last night so there was just Davie and I in our group. We decided to run our round the house route as I'd not done that run for a while. Davie did it last week so to have a bit of vaiety we ran the route in reverse.
With the Inverness Half Marathon in mind I was keen to push the pace and run as quick we I could. We still chatted the whole way round and I felt good.
Here are my splits ....
My heart graph shows a consistent effort.
I think my predicted time of 1.27.30 for the half marathon is about right. I'll need to work hard but that's what it's all about. I'm really looking forward to the race as it will give me a good indication of where my fitness is at.

I do wonder if a 7:38 paced tempo run is taking a little bit too easy relative to where your lactate threshold is likely to be. Given you target for the half marathon is a minute a mile faster, then I'd expect your threshold pace to around this 6:30 pace.
If one looks at Lydiard approach to endurance training it suggest there is value in runs at the upper end of your aerobic range, at around marathon pace, which I'd guess for you around 7:30 pace.
Curiously your interval session is run must faster, nearer to what a 3 hour marathon might be happy with. I based this on comparing your Fartlek session with a Yasso800, of 8x800 at 3:00 per 800 for a 3 hour marathoner.
So... perhaps it might be best to inject a bit more pace into your tempo runs and be more comfortable about not chasing the fast paces in your Fartlek sessions. This would lead to more miles in your upper aerobic range and less anaerobic.
