To get back home in time for my swimming lessons I needed to be up and out by 6.30am which is what I did. It was still pitch dark so I'm glad I decided to wear my head torch.
My main aim for this mornings run was to keep my heart rate as close to 120 as I could and finish feeling I had loads left.
Things were going well until about 2miles to go when I slipped on a rock and fell really heavily on my left thigh. It took the wind out of me and I had to take a few deep breathes before gingerly testing how it felt by walking.
After a few minutes I was able to get running again but it did feel a bit uncomfortable. I was quite qlad to get home without any more mishaps.
Here is a photo of my left thigh .....
I was hoping being in the water for 4hrs would help and I think it did! It is feeling easier now so hopefully I'll be fine by the morning. I've been looking forward to having a run with Marco on the Kilpatrick Hills. David Mac is going to join us as well.
I was trying to keep my heart rate around 120 and just about managed it. The dip is where I fell and stood around for a min or so.
We have been able to confirm the West Highland Way Race nights of Inspiration. I'm about to post it on the whw race web so if you're interested have a look in a few minutes (should be on by 4pm).

That's what you hard men get for wearing shorts in the middle of winter! (hope it settles down quickly)
