Club Run

Today was our Active Schools South Glasgow Cross Country Finals. We had about 350 children running in 4 separate races. The weather was very kind to us and the children all seemed to enjoy it. There were some very close races.  Hopefully the Glasgow Evening Times will print some photos in their paper tomorrow.

It was good to be back on a Wednesday for our club run.  Katrina came along but in the end decided to do her own run home.  She chose a really hilly course and seemed to enjoy her run.

I ran with David, Tony, Michael. Jennifer, Davie & Stephen.  It was good to catch up on the running chat.  Davie took us on our Linwood loop which includes a few hills.

That was my longest run in my Saucony shoes and they felt fine.  My Heart Rate averaged 142bpm for the 8.80mile run.  I remember when I did my fitness test at Hampden 4 years ago Stephen Jones said that I'd need to average 147bpm for it to be a tempo run.

I worked on needing to average under 7.20 pace. Today was 7.37pace so maybe it wasn't really a tempo run!

Anyway here is my HR graph ...

Nice run! It seems the Suunto Ambit is doing great as well.
