Wednesday Club Run

There were three of us in our group tonight, Stephen, Gordon & myself. We decided on our Linwood run. I've sent away my Garmin 205 to get another reconditioned one. Hopefully I'll have more success with this one.

So I decided to try out the Nike + gps app on my iphone. I also wanted to try out the armband I was given to try out. I'll do a review on it soon as that was part of the deal of being given it.

So here is the charts that Nike running produces ...

We all agreed that it was a good solid run. We chatted the whole way round, well except for the couple of hills! Stephen has entered the Fling this year so we were chatting a bit about that. Stephen ran The Fling in 2009 and was going really well until Beinglas but struggled with cramp over the last 12 miles.

Stephen's work pattern over the last four year has meant he hasn't been able to get to the club but with his new work pattern hopes to make it one week in three. Plus he's planning to join us on our long run on Sunday 19th February. I was trying to persuade Gordon to try an ultra but he enjoys his golf too much!!

Katrina had a good run but struggled with eating our tea a bit too close to the run.

Hi John - now that you've set up your Nike+ account you might like to know that you can transfer your Garmin runs to your Nike+ account - see here: http://lornpearsontrains.wordpress.com/2011/03/27/using-garmin-to-update-your-nike-runs/ I used to run with my nike + chip, but now I just use my garmin, and upload my activities to Nike+... (I know your garmin isn't working right now, but I thought I'd let you know anyway). :-) I'm on the purple level. :-D (been on nike+ a LONG time to be there! ;-) )
